PSYCHEDELIC INVITES & POSTERS
The following series showcases psychedelic style announcements all inspired by the Janis Joplin/Jimi Hendrix style Fillmore posters of San Francisco in the 1960s. These invitations and announcement can be custom made to represent any city/place and colors can be changed as well. The names written in the sky are hand-drawn to resemble groovy clouds.
Psychedelic Seattle Themed Invitations
Samantha and Josh's invitation was designed to have a west coast appeal and to spark interest in Seattle - the city they moved to from their native New York. With both the groom and bride being heavily connected to music, our goal was to create a vintage style rock poster invitation, reminiscent of psychedelic posters of the 60s. Since most guests were traveling from out of town, they wanted the RSVP card to not only serve as an eco-friendly postcard by eliminating envelopes, but also as an informative vacation postcard, explaining tourist attractions to see while in Seattle. Bookmarks were designed for inside the invite as a gift to the guests, with details of the wedding website printed on them. This set includes one of a kind hand drawn illustrations, custom logos, and prints.
Emily & Jason Rock Poster
The couple wanted a custom rock poster to be displayed at their Pennsylvania wedding. Their love of music and rock album art inspired the idea for this project. The poster was inspired by the old San Francisco Fillmore posters of the 1960s. Emily and Jason displayed the poster at their event and also had it printed in large format to be framed and hung in their home. Detail shots are below:
Rock N Roll Wedding Poster
Scott & Joanne's wedding theme was Rock 'N Roll and they wanted their guests to feel as though they were attending a concert. They had a local band perform a rock show and they wanted the band to feel at home with a poster that all encompassing of a club vibe. The imagery includes electric guitars, speakers, drums, a disco ball, and a cheering crowd.
